Residence in Kifissia 01
The neighbourhood surrounding the site is one of two-storey houses with roofs prescribed by the Building Code.
The ground floor includes the entrance, guests’ WC, stairwell, dining room area, kitchen and the auxiliary spaces with the staircase leading to the basement.
The reception area with direct access to the outside and the swimming pool as well as the winter sitting room with its fireplace have been successively arranged within the longer leg of the L formed by the house.
The upper floor contains the guest room, bathroom and a study situated above the entrance porch with a panoramic view of the interior. This space is indirectly lit, in contrast to the “corridor bridge”, that leads to the bedrooms, which is directly lit by a succession of slanted openings, that reduce the afternoon sun, offering protection from the rain and providing a view of the swimming pool and greenery.
